UK based barrister and George Clooney's fiancee, Amal Alamuddin, has rejected the offer to serve U.N. for investigating possible violations of the war rules in Gaza.

United Nations Human Rights Council had appointed the 36-year-old human rights lawyer for the 3-member commission of inquiry, but Alamuddin said that though felt honoured, she couldn't take the job as she was already tied with existing commitments, which included 8 ongoing cases, the Washington Times reported.

The other 2 members of the commission include Canada's William Schabas, who's an international law professor at Middlesex University, and Doudou Diene of Senegal, who had been appointed as Independent Expert on the situation of human rights in Ivory Coast.
