Amanda Seyfried has said that in her portrayal of porn star Linda Lovelace in her biopic 'Lovelace,' she was not as scared of showing off her body as she was of the beating.

The 27-year-old actress, who started her movie career by playing a ditzy teen in 'Mean Girls,' said that playing a sexually open woman changes perceptions.

When Seyfried read the script, she instantly wanted the role - which, it was later revealed, had already been turned down by Olivia Wilde, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Hudson.

She said that it was a risky role for her to play, asserting that the nudity didn't scare her.

She explained that she was more afraid of some of the violence and beatings that Lovelace suffered, adding that the porn star was a courageous woman and that she had never been so affected by a role as she was by this.
