United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to slam American electronic commerce company Amazon.com Inc. for "damaging "tax paying retailers."
The president also noted that the entire U.S. is "being hurt" by the firm's operations.
Trump tweeted: "Amazon is doing great damage to tax paying retailers. Towns, cities and states throughout the U.S. are being hurt - many jobs being lost!"
Amazon has been a frequent target of the president's tweets in the past. "Is Fake News Washington Post being used as a lobbyist weapon against Congress to keep Politicians from looking into Amazon no-tax monopoly?," President Trump tweeted in July.
In another tweet,Trump congratulated Roy Moore, a former state Supreme Court justice, and Senator Luther Strange, who was appointed earlier this year, advanced on Tuesday in the Republican primary for the Senate seat in Alabama vacated by Jeff Sessions.
"Congratulation to Roy Moore and Luther Strange for being the final two and heading into a September runoff in Alabama. Exciting race!@ Trump tweeted
They will face off for their party's nomination next month in a runoff election, a contest that will test President Trump's clout in a deeply conservative state.
