Amer channel AIR, Jaipur also available on 101.2FM

In a function organised at All India Radio here today, Minister of State Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, inaugurated a 10Kw FM transmitter for Amer Channel of AIR in Jaipur.

Programmes of the channel will now be available on 101.2FM as well. With the launch of the transmitter, broadcast of the channel will cover a radius of 50 km.

The USP of the FM transmitter is that it gives stereophonic sound quality and makes the channel compatible for mobile phones as well as car stereos.

Rathore congratulated people of Jaipur on this occasion and said that now the popular programmes of primary channel shall also be available on FM to the residents of Jaipur.

 

He further emphasised about the policies of Government for enhancing the coverage of FM Transmission to the cities having population of 1 lakh. He also informed about the recently concluded transparent FM band auction process of Government.

The 1 kW MW Transmitter has now been replaced with 10 kW FM Transmitter of RVR make. The new 10 kW FM Transmitter will contribute towards better quality broadcast and will cover areas in and around Jaipur. A 100 M self supported tower is also under process for this transmitter which will further improve the coverage area as the present transmitter will go on air on 50 m STL tower along with CBS Transmitter of AIR Jaipur.

The transmitter has been commissioned yesterday by Rathore. The inaugural Ceremony was attended by DG AIR Fayyaz Sheheryar, Engineer in Chief of AlR and other senior Officers.
