Two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan said that he had to leave Los Angeles, where he trained for four years, as his celebrity friends became a distraction.
Khan, who is currently training for his next fight against Devon Alexander on 13 December at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, said that he used to have visits from Mark Wahlberg and other actors to see him train at the gym, the Mirror reported.
According to him, it started getting hectic to spend time with them as he couldn't manage to find time to rest. He further said that he had to get away from all those distractions in order to focus and rest more.
The Bolton-born boxer left Los Angeles in September 2012 following his second defeat in succession. Afterwards, he relocated to Union City and has been training under Virgil Hunter since then.
