An American CEO has been accused of a 'Fifty Shades of Grey'-style physical relationship with his former girlfriend, and eventually raping her repeatedly.

The former girlfriend of Scott Kveton, CEO of Portland-based tech start-up Urban Airship, has submitted evidence including emails and text messages to police, detailing their dark and dirty relationship that the couple believed was reminiscent of the infamous erotica novel, News.com.au reported.

The 34-year-old woman told investigators the couple engaged in "pushing each other's boundaries", but in a number of emails and texts he pushed "too far", as Kveton ambushed the woman in a closet during a string of off-again-on-again encounters, gripped her in a bear hug, dragged her into a bedroom and tied her by the wrists.

The allegations allegedly took place in 2012 and 2013 and it is believed that Kevton, who previously faced sexual abuse charges in 2010 and 2011, also videotaped her during sex acts without consent.
