Three Americans who have been confined by North Korea for violating its laws have begged for United States' help.
The CNN team who had interviewed the three were taken by government officials from North Korea to a secret location to meet them. Kenneth Bae, Matthew Todd Miller and Jeffrey Edward Fowle,-- the three detainees-expressed sincere remorse for wrongdoing, and pleaded Washington to send a high-level emissary to negotiate their release, CNN reported.
Bae who is serving a 15-year prison term for 'hostile acts to bring down North Korean regime, said that he worked eight hours a day, six days a week at a labour camp. Although, Bae said that he was being treated as humanely as possible.
Miller, another American detained in North Korea, begged for US help as he described about his difficult condition of not knowing his charges until he was to stand trial. Accused of leaving a Bible in his hotel, Fowle, who came to North Korea as a tourist said that he had no complaints about the treatment.
North Korean officials monitored and recorded all three interviews where the three American detainees reportedly signed statements accepting their guilt.
