Two-time British world champion Amir Khan has claimed that Floyd Mayweather is hoping to duck him if he loses against Chris Aligeri on Friday in New York.

Khan, who is very excited to have a go at the unbeaten American boxer, is willing to train during the last two months of Ramadan to be ready for a possible fight in September.

But the former IBF and WBA light-welterweight champ suspects Mayweather is looking for excuses to keep avoiding him.

Amir said that Mayweather's team was hoping for a bad performance from the Briton so that they could turn around and say he wasn't good enough, the Mirror has reported.

He insisted that he had beaten everyone who was put up before him and now Algieri was their last hope.

Earlier, Mayweather's father had said that facing Khan would be "easy" after victory in the most anticipated 'fight of the century' against Manny Pacquiao.
