Contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Start up India" initiative, five students of Amity International School have won the finals of the "Future Young Entrepreneurs Competition" for their innovative Start up Idea- 'PEEKABOOK'.
The event was organised by the Goethe Institute located in Germany and co-funded by the Erasmus Programme of the European Union at Berlin.
The students -- Medha Mathur, Ansh Aggarwal, Yash Gupta, Manan Rai and Nikhil Kalia -- are from Amity School Pushp Vihar.
Peekabook is a business model that will facilitate the purchase of second hand books between a customer and an online retailer across New Delhi.
"We are proud to have such brilliant students who have brought laurels to the country with their ingenuity and hard work. The honor and glory brought by these students is a testimony to our dedication in promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship," said Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson of Amity International Schools.

"Future Young Entrepreneurs Competition" started in March 2015 under the aegis of Amity Education Resource Centre (AERC) by Ms. Jyoti Arora- Director, AERC was divided into two phases. The first theoretical phase provided students with the necessary know-how on developing ideas (design thinking) and writing business plans.
The best ten students of each country competed in the second phase of the project with their individual business plans.
These students attended a workshop-week in Germany, where they present their business plans and try to prevail with their innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in an international competition.
