Amity launches Skill Oriented Courses in association with Sector Skill Councils

As part of the Skill India Mission launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amity University has launched Skill Oriented Courses for the under graduate and post graduate students in 13 departments / institutes.

These skill oriented programmes are aligned with the National Occupational Standards (NOSs) issued by the respective Sector Skill Councils.

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), an umbrella body encompassing all the sector Skill Councils, has acknowledged that Amity University is the first university in India which has taken such a strong lead in launching the skill courses for the under-graduate and graduate students.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President of the Amity Group, said that India not only needs educated but skilled and educated youth who could actively contribute to the mission 'Skill India'.

 

During the current semester, thousands of students have enrolled for the various skill courses in Amity. After the completion of the course, the students will be assessed by the respective Sector Skill Councils and will get an additional certificate bearing the logo of Sector Skill Council, NSDC and the Government of India.
