South African skipper Hashim Amla believes that his side is determined to face a challenging year ahead after clinching the three match Test series 2-0 against West Indies.
Amla said that the team was developing and it had probably been a good move for some of the younger players to make their debuts and get a feel of Test cricket in a year when they would be playing against really good opposition, Sport24 reported.
Amla, who was named the man of the series for scoring 342 runs, further said that after six matches he was learning a lot more about captaincy, adding that finding a winning combination was still their main goal, the report added.
Amla has guided South Africa to four wins in six Tests, including an away series win against Sri Lanka.
