Some ammunition including a rocket launcher and some cartridges were found in a sack near the shop of a scrap dealer in Sultanwind area of Amritsar, Punjab on Monday afternoon.
"There are some hand grenades, mortars and cartridges. They appeared to be very old-fashioned. A rag picker brought them here, who didn't know what was inside the sack. We are calling the Army bomb disposal squad. We have cordoned the area and put it under the safe custody. People are requested not to approach the scene," Police Commissioner Amar Singh Chahal told ANI.
The whole area has been cordoned off and the army has been called into service.
