Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anjali Damania has reportedly resigned from the party.

Damania had recently joined the AAP and was the convener of AAP's Maharashtra unit. She was also a part of Anna Hazare's India Against Corruption (IAC) movement.

She came to limelight after she filed a case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and now Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, alleging that he had had business relationship with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.

She also alleged that Gadkari misused his political links to grab agricultural land in Khursapur district for his company. Following an inquiry into these allegations, Gadkari had to resign as BJP president.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, she contested from Nagpur constituency against Gadkari but lost.
