"Hi! I'm Rangili Riya! Are you lonely? Talk to me. Call me on . number!" - this SMS received by Janak Toprani gave birth to a whole 70mm film! In a fast paced city life, keeping up with technology and gadgets leaves little time for real friendship and relationships - this is what the director has explored in Call For Fun in his inimitable comic style with a wholesome doze of comedy, action and drama to make it a paisa vasool entertainer!

From a mere SMS to writing a whole feature film script; from shooting in Mumbai to mounting special sets in Gujarat to recreate US; Call For Fun produced by Hardik Patel for Filmquest Entertainment has not spared any efforts to make Call For Fun a big ticket entertainment.

The film, which releases on October 6 has already secured a major feat by launching 9 newcomers without the backing of any established studio, nevertheless backed by a national award winning technical team.

Here's what industry veterans have to say about chartered accountant turned director and theatre veteran Janak Toprani as he embarks on his directorial journey with the youth centric screwball comedy

Ronnie Screwvala - I have known Janak from our theatre days and his talent and creative skills there and in the comedy genre am sure would translate well as he brings himself into the world of movie making

Anand Mahindra - I have known Janak from his previous avatar as an Accountant at the Mahindra Group. He left to pursue his passion for theatre. Despite being a complete outsider, he has made an indelible mark for himself over the years. I have no doubt that his foray into films will be just as successful and I wish him all the very best!

Harry Baweja - Janak is extremely talented, transitioning from theatre to cinema, he has all that it takes to deliver a fun filled film just like he has done so successfully on stage time and again !

Prem Chopra - Call For Fun will be a great entertainer and super hit. It will be a refreshing change to see a film convey a social message through laughter and humour.

Ram Madhvani -. I've been part of Janak's theatre group called Creators many years ago in my formative years and he's a gem, I wish him much success.

Sharman Joshi - I have known Janak for many years now since I ventured into acting with theatre. He has an eye for detailing and every production of his has earned itself a top spot in the theatrical world. Call For Fun will leave a mark in films too.

Ranjeet - Call For Fun has a pleasant cast and music and typical naughty janak kind of humour. I have seen so many comedies and yet this film's trailer made me laugh and I enjoyed it thoroughly, then I am sure the audiences will love it!

Bharat Dabholkar - Kudos to Janak for putting together a big ticket project without any major industry player backing it and taking a huge risk of launching 9 newcomers. This man has put together this project through sleepless nights and I wish him great success and many more such films in the future.

Parmeet Sethi - Call For Fun is a film that every teen in this country needs to go and watch and learn from. Full marks for Janak's direction and vision and putting the entire project together in less than 6 months.

Interestingly, national award winning music maker, Lalit Pandit who has over 30 years of experience is known in the entertainment business for contributing to the success of debutante directors. In the past Pandit has worked his magic with directors like Mansoor Ali Khan, Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vipul Shah, Mahesh Manjrekar, Abhinav Kashyap and John Mathan for films like Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar, Diiwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai, Khamoshi, Aankhen Vatsav, Dabaang, Sarfarosh when they started off and most of the films scored exceptionally well at the box office. It looks like Call For Fun is a winner already with Lalit Pandit contributing to the entire music score for this debutant director!

Featuring a fresh star cast - Zaan Khan who is an Ali Zafar lookalike, Prashant Kanaujia, Aashish Gade, Prasad Shikhre, Linesh Fanse, Charu Asopa, Shubhangi Mehrotra, Priyanka Arya, Swagata Naik, and Bharat Dhabolkar, Parmeet Sethi in supporting roles, the foot tapping music is sung by Shaan, Pratibha Singh Baghel and Bhoomi Trivedi.
