Nominees for this year's Olivier Awards have been announced.
Most prestigious prizes in British theater, the notable mentions for this year's acting accolades include Mark Strong as Best Actor for 'A View From The Bridge,' and James McAvoy for 'The Ruling Class,' Deadline.com reported.
Meanwhile, Gillian Anderson (A Streetcar Named Desire), Kristin Scott Thomas (Electra) and veterans Imelda Staunton (Good People) and Penelope Wilton (Taken At Midnight) are up for Best Actress title.
The Young Vic theater bagged 11 nominations, which is the most for a single venue, along with 'A View From The Bridge', 'The Scottsboro Boys', 'Bull' and 'Streetcar Named Desire.'
This year's Oliviers associated more with musicals than drama, with the West End production of Tony winner Memphis 'The Musical,' leading with 9 nominations, followed by 'Beautiful - The Carole King Musical' with 8.
Fatboy Slim and David Byrne for 'Here Lies Love' and the Kinks' Ray Davies for 'Sunny Afternoon' are the first timers in Outstanding Achievement in Music race.
The Olivier Awards will be held in London on April 12.
