Kumar Sangakkara's resilient knock of 81 couldn't rescue his side from crumbling to 195 all-out against an impressive New Zealand bowling attack as the hosts clinch the seven match ODI series with a 120 runs win over Sri Lanka in the sixth match at the University Oval at Dunedin.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, New Zealand posted a majestic total of 315, thanks to twin 90's from Kane Williamson (97) and Ross Taylor (96).

Chasing the target, Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals as all-rounder Corey Anderson, who was declared as the player of the match, scalped four crucial wickets of Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene, Dimuth Karunaratne and Thisara Perera to decimate Sri Lankan batting line-up.

Though Sangakkara tried to steady the ship, there were hardly any substantial contributions from other batsmen to salvage a crumbling batting order.

With the win, New Zealand has taken an unassailable 4-1 lead against Sri Lanka in the seven match ODI series.
