Andhra issues not addressed in Budget 2018: TDP

Minister of State (MoS) for Science and Technology and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader YS Chowdary on Thursday expressed disappointment over the union budget, claiming that several issues being faced by Andhra Pradesh had not been addressed.

Speaking to media, Chowdary said that issues including funding for capital Amaravati and other pending issues of Andhra Pradesh were not addressed by the central government in the budget.

"We are disappointed with the Union Budget presented today. Many pressing state issues like Railway Zone, Polavaram project funding, Funding for capital Amaravati and other pending issues of Andhra Pradesh are not addressed in the budget," the minister said.

 

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the Union Budget at the Parliament.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the General Budget 2018-19 is development friendly and focuses not only on Ease of Doing Business but also on Ease of Living for the common man.
