Andhra Pradesh Information Technology (IT) Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday inaugurated 16 IT companies in the Amaravati Capital Region.
The companies are located in two IT parks recently built in Mangalagiri town close to the capital region.
Three companies: Make My Clinic, Excellar Info Services, and BVG India were inaugurated at the Phycare IT park.
Make My Clinic is a healthcare IT company, Excellar Info Services is an ITES company providing services to Australian companies and BVG India provides 108 medical services to the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The minister had inaugurated 13 more IT and ITES companies at the NRT Tech Park also located in Mangalagiri.
"In all software companies in any major city of India, 30 percent of them are from Andhra Pradesh.

Now, it is time for bringing down technology companies to our own Amaravati," said Lokesh.
"Though we are feeling the pain for losing hi-tech city in Hyderabad to Telangana, we have developed a killing instinct to develop Amaravati as a technical hub," he added.
The Andhra Pradesh NRT Society has set a target of establishing 75 IT and ITES companies by the end of March.
In connection with this program, Andhra Pradesh NRT Society has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Veda IIT and iKeva company.
The minister also digitally launched Digital Lync.
He even handed over offer letters to some of the employees who joined in jobs at this technology park.
"Our chief minister (Chandrababu Naidu) told us to build at least four Cyberabads in different parts of the state of Andhra Pradesh. We are working on that. Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, Tirupati, and Anantapuram are those four centers. Our aim is to make those four centers to generate 2.5 lakh jobs in each cluster, in the next ten years," the minister concluded.
