Andhra Pradesh capable to conduct Olympics: CM Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said his state was capable enough to conduct Olympics and would create the necessary infrastructure for it as well.

Addressing the teams at the inauguration of 'All India Services Cricket Tournament' Chief Minister Naidu said, "India should host Olympics soon, while Andhra Pradesh is prepared to conduct Olympic Games. We are also ready to create the necessary infrastructure for it."

Chief Minister Naidu congratulated the management for successfully starting the tournament.

He further complimented the team players and said that their fitness was better than other cricket players.

"I have seen all of you play. Your fitness level is great. I must say, it is greater [better] than many cricketers," he said.

 

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was inaugurating All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament 2017-18 today at Mulapadu ground of Andhra Cricket Association, at Mulapadu village in Amaravati capital region.

"All India Services Cricket Tournament is going on. Nearly 18 states, two union territories, 13 regional sports boards, one central secretariat and a total of 40 teams are participating," C.H. Arun Kumar, General Secretary, Andhra Cricket Association told ANI.

The tournament is under the auspices of central civil services cultural and sports board. The annual event will be held for ten days, will conclude on February 5.

Andhra Pradesh is hosting the event after more than 20 years. As many as 34 teams including more than 800 sportsmen are taking part in the event.
