Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle has backed his side to win a Champions League and Premier League double this season and said that the critics of Jose Mourinho's tactics are simply jealous of his success.
Chelsea is two points behind league leaders Liverpool following Sunday's 2-0 win at Anfield and take a goalless draw into the Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Guardian, the Germany international believes that the confidence gained from Anfield will serve as ideal preparation for Chelsea for their upcoming contest against the Spanish league leaders and build up their bid to win a double Premier League and Champions League victory.
However, Schurrle called on his side to do everything in their power to their two remaining games, adding that a more offensive display may be required from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to secure a second Champions League final appearance in three years.
Schurrle insisted that success takes priority over style in football and believes the condemnation that followed Chelsea out of Anfield was fuelled by envy, adding that he has learned to play in a defensive role from Mourinho, something that he never managed to do in Germany.
