English golfer Andy Sullivan has cut his compatriot Lee Westwood's lead at the Malaysian Open to one shot after the third round of the European Tour's tournament on Saturday at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club.

Sullivan fired a six-under-par 66 to cut the lead of the former world No.1, who led by four strokes overnight but could only manage a 71 in sweltering condition as he failed to match the form shown in his opening rounds of 65 and 66.

According to sport24, world No.226 Sullivan, looking for his first victory on tour, climbed up the leaderboard to move three strokes ahead of France's Julien Quesne in third on 10-under and a shot further ahead of Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts in fourth spot, after gaining even shots against a lone bogey on the fourth.

Spain's Pablo Larrazabal, who had to jump into a lake to escape a swarm of hornets on Friday, had a less eventful round of 70 for a share of the 23rd place in the 2.75 million-dollar Asian Tour co-sanctioned event, the report added.
