The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday asked veteran social activist Anna Hazare not to doubt the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government and said the Centre is doing its best to get back black money to the country.
"We respect Anna Hazare and we would like to tell Annaji that the intention of the government should not be questioned. The government is doing its best to get back black money to the country," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI here.
"This is the very government which constituted the SIT to retrieve the black money, this is the government which signed an accord recently with Switzerland in which time bound information would be brought to the country," he added.
Patra further said that the technical issue of not declaring the names at present is not going to stand in the way of the Centre's intention.
"As far as the technical issue of not declaring the names currently is concerned, the technical issue will not stand in the way of the intention of this government. The intention is absolutely clear," he said.
In his letter to Prime Minister Modi, Hazare has expressed shock over the government's affidavit in Supreme Court on black money issue and said the Centre should declare the names of people holding accounts in foreign banks.

Hazare writes that the government has hardly done anything on appointing Lokpal or dealing with black money in its five months in office.
"People have now started to suspect if the slogan of 'Corruption Free India' was only a poll technique. People of India know by experience that only talking can't lead to a positive change. It should be backed by action," he said in his letter.
