An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale hit the Chambal region of Himachal Pradesh on Friday afternoon.
The tremors were felt at around 1424 hrs.
However, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualty.
This was the second quake in the state on Friday.
Mandi district was jolted with 4.4 magnitude earthquake at around 0807 hrs this morning.
Earlier this month, Chamba was struck with an earthquake of almost similar magnitude.
