Hours after the Delhi Police arrested a staffer of the Pakistan High Commission on espionage charges, another Pakistani spy has been arrested from Rajasthan.
The arrested Pakistani spy identified as Shoaib is being brought to the national capital for further interrogation.
This comes as the Indian authorities arrested two citizens and expelled Pakistani High Commission staffer Mehmood Akhtar for "espionage activities" on Thursday.
Earlier today, a Delhi Court sent the two arrested Pakistani spy to 12 days police remand.
Crime Branch Joint Commissioner Ravindra Yadav told the media in New Delhi that the documents recovered from the High Commission staffer include defence deployment maps, details of BSF staff and other visa-related documents.
Islamabad, however, strongly rebuked the allegation and condemned India's move to declare the Pakistan High Commission's staffer as Persona Non Grata (PNG).
Pakistani envoy Abdul Basit also denied the accusations of espionage levelled by the Indian Government, saying Islamabad never indulges in activities that are incompatible with its diplomatic status.
