Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari will participate in the 20th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan during his three-day visit to the nation beginning tomorrow.
"This is not just a visit for the TAPI, but also a visit for the celebration for the 20th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan," said Secretary (West) Navtej Singh Sarna.
Vice President Ansari would also address the international conference on neutrality.
The Vice President is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard.
Vice President Ansari will also pay his respect and homage to the bust of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, which was inaugurated earlier in July this year during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Turkmenistan.
The Prime Minister had then said the solutions to two big problems facing mankind - terrorism and climate change - could be found in the life and thought of Mahatma Gandhi.
