With the controversy over chanting "Bharat Mata ki Jai" slogan refusing to die down, Haryana's Health, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij stoked a fresh row with his tweet asking the anti-national elements to attend the workshops being organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Justifying his tweet, Vij told ANI that the RSS is the only organization, which is capable of changing the DNA of anti-national elements.

"What I tweeted was right because those who find it difficult to chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' must attend the RSS workshops and all their confusion shall be resolved," he said.

He added that the controversy over raising Bharat Mata ki Jai' slogans has never been a political issue.

"It is a national issue because it is concerning giving respect to our motherland," he added.

The Haryana Minister's remark comes in the backdrop of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's suggestion that the new generation must be taught to chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'.

Bhagwat's comment came following AIMIM chief Asauddin Owaisi's refusal to raise slogans hailing mother India.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had earlier accused the Congress-led Opposition of indulging in politics of appeasement and declared that he would proudly chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' even if it costs him his chair.
