Two women were found dead lying in a pool of blood from an apartment in Bondilipuram of Srikakulam town of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
The woman Jonabai and her daughter-in-law Mehanti Begum were discovered lying in a pool of blood by Mehanti's son on his return from school to their Sindhuja Apartments here, police said.
" The boy Jaffer returned from school and found the door of the house locked. When he got no response from his mother and grandmother he entered the house with a spare key he went and got from his aunt's residence. Upon finding the dead bodies lying in a pool of blood, he called his father Jilani who along with neighbours informed the police," Panasa Reddy, Additional SP, Srikakulam district said.
The bodies of the two woman have been sent for post mortem he said.
"The family is claiming that Rs 5 lakh and some gold is missing from the residence. We suspect that the motive of the killing was robbery. The case is under investigation," Reddy said.
