Some of the top tech giants are reportedly facing a lawsuit for selling pirated music content. The latest lawsuit against Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Pandora claims the tech giants are part of a' massive music piracy operation'.

According to Forbes, the son and estate of Broadway composer Harold Arlen filed a lawsuit against Apple and other companies for selling more than 6,000 unauthorised recordings of his music. The damages sought by the representatives top USD 4.5 million.

The lawsuit claims that the digital stores and streaming services are flooded with unauthorised copies of Arlen's songs that are being sold under different record labels for a lesser price than the original copies and that the online retailers have had knowledge of their own infringing conduct.
