Apple and Android are reportedly the top leaders in the US mobile space, a new report by comScore has revealed.
The firm revealed that Apple dominated as the top US smartphone maker for the start of 2014, while Android was the top US mobile platform.
According to Cnet, Apple's iPhones capture 41.6 percent of the US market, while Samsung came close second with 26.7 percent share, followed by LG with 6.9 percent.
However, when it comes to OS manufacturing, Google's Android came out as the ultimate winner, leading the market with 51.7 percent share of US smartphone platforms, followed second by Apple's iOS with 41.6 percent, Windows Phone and BlackBerry OS with 3.2 percent and 3.1 percent respectively.
The firm further noted that Google's sites were top destinations for mobile browsers, visited by nearly 90 percent of US mobile users, followed by Facebook at 87 percent, the report added.
