Apple is offering a discount scheme to people who wish to buy an iPhone with a change in its trade-in program where customers can now hand over old Android, Blackberry or Windows phone to receive the discount.
Earlier Apple accepted only old iPhones. Now, with other trade-in programs, a phone will have to have some value to it in order to receive credit.
According to the Verge, the trade-in program is starting at Apple stores in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France and Italy.
All smartphones that are in good shape from the past couple of years are likely to be accepted by Apple.
Apple is running the program through Brightstar, a US-based privately held corporation that distributes mobile phones and other devices.
