Apple recently released the latest update for iOS, which was causing encryption vulnerability earlier.

According to Cnet, Apple reportedly said that now no attacker could capture or modify data as they were shielded by SSL, or Security Sockets Layer, one of the basic forms of encrypting Internet traffic, without which anyone could see what a user was doing online.

The report said that the fix, which came weeks after another minor iOS7 update, also includes an update patch iOS 6.1.6 for older versions of Apple's operating system.

An iOS forensics expert, Jonathan Zdziarski said that the security flaw had the potential to be a very serious issue, as Apple was mum regarding specific details about it.

He added that the bug had the potential to allow eavesdropper to intercept a user's data from a cellphone, the report added.
