A hacker group in Australia is reportedly hacking down Apple products and demanding ransom money to unlock the device.

According to The Verge, some fraudsters are using Apple's 'Find my phone' service to hack devices and send messages, seeking 50 dollars PayPal payment as ransom money.

However, it is possible that a list of usernames and passwords has been leaked allowing hackers to exploit the information.

An Apple spokesperson said that iCloud was not compromised during this incident and advised users to change their passwords.
