Apple has sold 61.1 million iPhones in the first quarter of 2015 and made revenue of 40.3 billion dollars, making it the second biggest quarter for iPhone sales.
According to the Verge, Apple sold 43.7 million iPhones in the first quarter of 2014.
Apple's previous quarter was its largest ever for iPhone sales as the company sold 74.5 million units, making revenue of 51.2 billion dollars.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a statement that Apple has seen more people switching to iPhones that it did in previous cycles.
