In what might take the load off official Apple repair team and provide users with an alternative to get their damaged iPhones fixed, the tech giant has reportedly entered a deal with third-party reseller and service provider Simply Mac to offer authorized screen repairs.
According to a 9to5 Mac report, Simply Mac is one of the largest Apple Authorised Service Provider chains in the world and only five of its 50 stores have the right tools and equipment. The company had been conducting third-party unofficial screen repairs as the tools needed for authorized repairs are not handed out by Apple for free.
Now, it seems the two companies have come together where the iPhone maker will provide the necessary equipment and tools, and in turn, Simply Mac will have to cease its third-party repairs.
