The Army Commander's Conference, which is held bi-annually to discuss current internal and external strategic issues, review of operational preparedness of the Indian Army and aspects pertaining to military technology and force modernization, commenced on Monday.
The conference, being chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh, will conclude on October 16.

Army Commanders of all Operational Commands, Strategic Forces Command, Army Training Command and the Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters are attending the conference, which is the highest level military conference.
The Army Commanders Conference will conclude with the Combined Commanders Conference on October 17 which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
