Army defuses IED bombs in Baramulla, Kashmir

The Indian Army on Saturday defused low intensity bombs, recovered on the roadside of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Around 10 Kg of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) were found by a road opening party of Army of 46, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in a village in the Baramulla.

The Bomb Disposal Squad and Army were rushed to the spot and the IED were defused. The road is being mostly used by the civilians and the Army convoy.

The Kashmir region has witnessed numerous militant attacks, insurgency and infiltration attempts from across the border in the last two decades.
