Lieutenant General D. S. Hooda, the GOC-in-C of the Chinar Corps said here today that the militants have changed their tactics and continue to infiltrate and attack the security forces.

General Hooda said of late there are no direct attacks against the army. The militants, belonging to the Hizbul Mujahideen and the Lashkar-e-Taiba, quietly cross the Line of Control when there is firing at the posts. He was speaking at the sidelines of a function held here.

"The fences over here are quite strong and they would not get damaged in the snow. In the past two to three years' infiltration has become difficult. So what we are seeing since a yea is that there is firing over the posts and casualties caused. The number of such incidents are more and trespassers quietly cross the border and come here," he added.
