Army pays tribute to Machhil bravehearts

The Indian Army on Tuesday paid befitting tribute with full military honours to three BSF jawans, who lost their lives in an encounter with the terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) in Machhil sector of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Army and BSF personnel launched a joint operation after receiving information about the presence of militants there.

One militant was also killed in the gun-battle that lasted for two hours.

The deceased BSF men were identified as Sub Inspector Mohinder Yadav, Head Constable C P Singh and Constable Babu Shaan.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed at Roshi post in Machil area of Kupwara sector.
