Army personnel visit Shopian encounter braveheart's family

Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, S.P. Vaid, GOC, CIF (V) Maj. Gen. Ashok Narula and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir S.J.M. Geelani along with other army personnel on Saturday visited the residence of 34-year-old brave heart Lance Naik Gh Mohi-Ud-Din, who sacrificed his life in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian.

Maj. Gen. Narula described the martyr as a highly motivated and fearless soldier.

The officials assured the family of assistance.

At least three army personnel and one civilian lost their lives after an army convoy was attacked by terrorists in Shopian district on Thursday morning.

Four army personnel also got injured after terrorists attacked the patrolling party.

 

The army retaliated to the firing but the militants managed to escape.
