Arrested AAP MLA Surinder Singh will be produced before a local court here today.
His lawyer, Virender Singh Kadian, told ANI, "We'll apply for the bail".
On Friday, workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest outside the Parliament Street police station where Surinder Singh was confined after his arrest.
The Delhi Police had earlier in the day arrested Singh in connection with the assault on a New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) worker.
Earlier, the Patiala House Court had rejected Singh's anticipatory bail plea.
Singh was booked for allegedly assaulting a worker of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and for making derogatory remarks against him.
