Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Devendra Kumar on Tuesday moved the Delhi High Court challenging his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with Moin Akhtar Qureshi case.
The hearing in the matter will take place at 2 pm today.
On Monday, the CBI arrested Devendra Kumar in connection with bribery allegations involving the investigating agency's Special Director Rakesh Asthana.
The case was registered against Kumar and many others, including Rakesh Asthana, based on a complaint received by Hyderabad-based businessman Sathish Babu Sana on October 15.
Sana, in his complaint to the CBI, alleged that he had paid over Rs 2 crores in bribe to certain private persons who promised him to get relief in the case.
Sana had alleged that he was repeatedly summoned by DSP Devendra Kumar to appear before him as a part of an investigation in the Moin Qureshi case.
