Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been slapped with a 20,000 pounds fine for smoking in the showers after a game for his club Arsenal.
Szczesny was caught smoking after Arsenal suffered a defeat on New Year's Day at Southampton, to the fury of boss Arsene Wenger, who had been already angry over the keeper's errors in the match.
Szczesny was dropped for the next game, the FA Cup tie with Hull, the Mirror reported.
But it remains to be seen whether Wenger would further punish his keeper by dropping the Pole from the team for Sunday's clash with Stoke City.
Arsenal has denied other claims by former midfielder John Jensen that Szczesny has been punished after a dressing room row and won't play for the club again.
