Arthur says 'big bag' egos of 'mediocre' Oz players behind current crisis

Former Australian coach Mickey Arthur has hit out at the nation's cricket players claiming they were good players but not great and were earning obscene amounts of money but still had big egos.

According to news.com.au, Arthur expressed that going in with big egos was not the best way to go about it and it negated the development of leaders in the team.

The former coach also revealed that he had a fall-out with Shane Watson but his relationship with the rest of the team was good.

Despite his sacking and subsequent out-of-court financial settlement with Cricket Australia, Arthur has no hard feelings and he genuinely wants the team to do well and is committed to helping future generations of Australian cricketers, the report said.
