Former Australian coach Mickey Arthur has said that he made a massive decision in the Mohali Test to suspend four players because they had not adhered to an instruction.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the 'Mohali Four' were made an example of for not returning performance feedback to Arthur that had been asked of them.

Arthur added that he was slaughtered for his decision by most of the public, ex-players and some of his bosses who thought it was just not cricket.

In March, as Australia's head coach, Arthur stood down Shane Watson, Mitchell Johnson, James Pattinson and Usman Khawaja for the third Test, the report said.
