Showing his admiration for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, artist Bhati N painted Modi's portrait using his nail.
Visitors thronged the exhibition where Bhati has displayed his works, which he has painted using his six-inch long nail. Through his painting, Bhati expressed that along with him, people of Gujarat wanted to see Modi as the Prime Minister of India.
"I have grown a nail to six inches in last eight years. I have made a painting of Narendra Modi, and Gujarat wants him to become the next Prime Minister and to express this, I have made a painting of Modi in a special way," he said.
The artist claimed that he took only three days to paint Modi. Apart from Modi's painting, Bhati has also made portraits of Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi with his nail.
He has displayed over 60 paintings in exhibition, which he has made during last eight years. Bhati wanted to do things differently and used his nail instead of brushes, toothbrushes, etc.

"Usually everyone does painting using brushes, but I thought that painting could be done using one's nail as well. So, I tried and the painting turned out to be good. Then I started practising and realised that it can be done. I showed some of these paintings to other one or two artists and they said that there is nobody in the world who paints using nails," he added.
A large number of people showed up to see the three-day art exhibition and were astounded to witness a different kind of art work.
"This is something new. I have usually seen artists making paintings with brush, hand or toothbrush but this is different. I never thought that one could paint with nails. But he has made very nice paintings. I never thought that painting could be done with a six inch nail. He had made a painting of Modi as well who is the prime ministerial candidate and I hope that he gets to see this painting as he is coming here," said Solanki, a visitor at the exhibition.
