Artists from across India recently came together to raise funds for Nepal earthquake victims through an exhibition of their artwork at an event held in New Delhi.
The exhibition 'Charity Event for Nepal Earthquake Relief' was organized by the Dzire Creations.
Close to 70 artists, including Biplap Rej, Ram V Sutar, R B Gautam, Bhawani Shankar Sharma, Nathu lal Verma, L N Naga, Hari Ram Kumawat, Preeta Gadkari, Parul Mittal and Hans Raj Kumwat showcased their works at the exhibition.
The chairman of Dzire Creations, Sanjeev Sharma, said the exhibition has received a positive response from the visitors so far.
"Approximately 70 artists have participated in this event and this is completely a Nepal earthquake relief fund raising event. We have received a positive response from the people and many people visited our art gallery," he said.
"Whatever amount we have received from the sale of exhibits, a part will go to Nepal Embassy for the victims and rest of the amount will go to the artists. Artists have spent so much of time and they have given their best paintings for this event. So, we have taken this initiative," he added.
