Finance Minister Arun Jaitley inaugurated the Bandhan Bank at a function in Kolkata's Science City Auditorium on Sunday.
Kolkata-based Bandhan got the RBI's approval last year to start commercial banking operations.
With the launching of banking services, 500 branches of Bandhan will start functioning across the country.
