Delhi belongs to all Indians, including the patriotic Arunachalees who greet each other with Jai Hind, and not to BJP leader Narendra Modi alone, said Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.
"I'm a chief minister like him (Modi is Chief Minister of Gujarat) and, he has no right to threaten another chief minister who is no way less to him.
His threat publicly - 'Who would save me in Delhi after May 16?' - is undemocratic and unethical," Tuki said at a road rally in front of the Takar Complex here on Saturday.
"I shall go to Delhi on May 17 and see what can he do?" Tuki challenged, adding that opposition political parties have been encouraging infighting among the masses through their divisive mindsets.
Toeing the 'Power to People' policy of the state government, municipality would be made fully functional to redress all problems confronting the Capital Complex, Tuki promised.
The four-lane project, bifurcation roads to divert traffic to ease congestion and sky walks have been sanctioned to remove communication snags to change the face of the state capital, Tuki informed.
A new law would be enacted to tackle bandh culture which would be possible with the support of the masses, the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister said, adding anybody may lodge a complaint through the Chief Minister's website (arunchalpradeshcm.nic.in) which would be redressed without fail.
Congress Western parliamentary candidate Takam Sanjoy reiterated his stand to work for ending the menace of fine system in accident cases and forceful donation and address traffic problem by speedy implantation of the Hollongi-Banderdewa four-lane project besides safety for the masses on being re-elected.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Admi Party (AAP) have resorted to street fights which led to cascading impact on BJP's image. The way Advani-led BJP was drubbed in 2009, 2014 would see the victory of Sonia-Rahul Gandhi-led Congress to form government at the Centre because of party's principled stand on all issues, Sanjoy added.
Listing his achievements, Congress candidate Techi Kaso said the way bandh culture ended under the leadership of Chief Minister Tuki, bandhs would be forgotten chapter and safety and security would be ensured for all sections, particularly the traders, if he is re-elected.
Masjid ho ya mandir, gurdwara ho ya nyedar namlo, Kaso made his all possible efforts to work for one and all, said Itanagar municipality chief councillor Higio Aruni while seeking vote for him.
Eulogizing Congress (Rahul Gandhi), noted Bollywood actor Asrani in his filmi style, castigated BJP (Modi) for not apologising for the Godra carnage and begging for bahumat (a majority vote) and lauded Rahul for trying to take all sections of people irrespective of caste, creed and religion for nation building.
"Your each vote is valuable and don't waste it with the passage clear before you," Asrani said in without mincing any words as the crowd cheered.
