Arunachal floods: Nadda assures all assistance

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday spoke to Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu and assured all assistance.

Nadda also shared his concerns with state health minister and promised help with all health related issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the day expressed anguish over the current flood situation in various parts of the Northeastern region and assured all possible help to combat situation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express solidarity with the people of the Northeastern region and asserted that the entire nations stand by the people of the affected region.

"I am anguished by the situation arising due to floods in various parts of the Northeast. I share the pain of all those affected by floods. The entire nation stands with the people of Northeast during this time. Centre assures all possible help to normalise the situation," tweeted Prime Minister.

 

Prime Minister Modi further said that he had spoken to Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu and MoS home Kiren Rijiju in the regard.

Death toll increased to 14 after the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team retrieved another dead body today from Arunachal Pradesh's Papumpare.
