The Gauhati High Court on Thursday kept in abeyance on all decisions taken by the Arunachal Pradesh assembly on Wednesday, in which it removed Speaker Nabam Rebia.
Hearing a writ petition filed by the Speaker, Justice Hrishikesh Roy passed this order.
Rebia has filed a petition challenging the notification issued by the Governor on advancing the state assembly session. The next hearing will be held on February 1.
Issuing notice, Justice Roy kept in abeyance the impugned decisions, including the notification issued by the Deputy Speaker restoring the membership of 14 suspended MLAs.
The Judge also put a stay on the holding of the Arunachal Pradesh session at a new place and also to remove the Speaker.
Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha continued to witness noisy scenes during the question hour on Thursday as Congress members rushed into the well, protesting against several issues, including political developments in Arunachal Pradesh.

Proceedings in the Rajya Sabha continue to be disrupted as well over the political developments in Arunachal Pradesh. The House has been adjourned till 3 PM. In the morning session the House was adjourned for 30 minutes after 12 Noon and then till 2 PM.
Congress members rushed to the well protesting against the Arunachal Pradesh Governor summoning the State Assembly. However, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari conducted the Question Hour briefly amidst noisy scenes. Thereafter he adjourned the house till 2 PM.
